Room for two helmets
The seat of the Piaggio Medley Special Edition 150 ABS is opened by either pressing an electric button handily located on the handlebar or via a manual lever inside the rear shield where you’ll also find a USB socket for recharging your phone. The main compartment under the seat is large enough to take two full-face helmets.
Silence at the lights
The Start-Stop system used by the Piaggio Medley Special Edition 150 ABS automatically shuts off the motor if the scooter is stationary for more than 3-7 seconds. To restart, all you need is a twist of the throttle and you’ll be quietly and smoothly off again. For city bikers who find themselves constantly stopping and starting, the reduction in both fuel consumption and emissions can be significant.
The Piaggio Medley Special Edition 150 ABS is equipped with disc brakes of 240 mm at the front and 240 mm at the rear, controlled by dual-channel ABS to prevent locking in cases of sudden braking on low-grip surfaces.
It also comes with a tilt sensor, a safety device that deactivates the Start & Stop system, turning off the engine, in the event of a fall.
Plenty of room for two
Passengers on the Piaggio Medley Special Edition 150 ABS will enjoy the roomy seat, sturdy grip handle and wide, solid retractable foot rests. And, when it’s time to refuel, there’s no need to dismount as the fuel tank cap is conveniently positioned in central tunnel between the driver’s legs, making filling up quick and easy.
High wheels with style
When it comes to urban mobility, the Piaggio Medley Special Edition 150 ABS offers the very best of Italian style with details such as LED front and rear parking lights, coordinated handlebar and seat, and headlight with chrome contour. This special version is recognisable for its matt grey colour (Grigio Titanio opaco) offset by a combination of electric blue and carbon-look detailing. A standout example of this is the seat with its vivid blue stitching.
But there’s more to this scooter than mere looks: safety and practicality are top priorities too. The 150-cc i-get (Italian Green Experience Technology), Euro 4 engine includes the Start-Stop system which automatically turns off the motor during stops. The 260- and 240-mm brake discs include dual-channel ABS and the large wheels (16” up front and 14” at the rear) ensure maximum stability in all conditions.
There’s plenty of storage with a spacious underseat compartment which holds two full-face helmets and a glove box, complete with USB socket, in the rear shield. Last but not least, is the anti-theft immobiliser which is activated when the key is pulled out of the ignition, leaving the scooter blocked.
